Arnold Franks

This interview is of Arnold Franks who was born in Mogumber. Arnold tells of his mother and also his father. He talks of Sister Kate’s and the donor of the land it was on. Arnold’s mother Topsy Franks, spoke Jamadji and Wongi and memories of Mogumber are within this interview. Arnold ran away from various places and he describes graphically his experiences working at Cosmo Newbury.
 
Within the interview working, wool-picking and horse-breaking are described. Arnold describes his drinking and eventually stopping this. Many of the aboriginal families of Pinjarra and Mandurah are mentioned as is the social life including the Coolbaroo Club.
