Ross Walmsley

Ross Walmsley is a well known farmer in the Peel Region who is descended from the Herron family on his mother’s side. He was born in Pinjarra on the 5th of December 1933. He talks about Aboriginal people and their role in farming during the early days, with a special focus on Arthur Mippy who had a long association with the McLarty family. He also talks about traditional Indigenous food sources. His experiences working with Lou Walley and his knowledge of Noongar words are also revealed.
